We’re a fun loving, sustainability focused business, and we make epic award-winning wine! We’re looking for an experienced health, safety and wellbeing leader to join our Awatere Valley team (and spend some time in our CBD Auckland office). This role works closely with teams, managers, and our Board of Directors.

The HSW Manager champions health, safety, and wellbeing with a focus on continuous improvement and industry-leading practices. Day-to-day, this involves creating and implementing employee-led strategies for compliance and risk reduction, managing systems and policies, and collaborating with key stakeholders on initiatives.

In short, this role will spend heaps of time out and about (you’ll need to like gumboots and high viz!) as it’s all about doing the right thing and looking after our people.

Along with your leadership and influencing skills, we’re looking for:

  • Heaps of energy and a can-do attitude!
  • Evidence of inspiring and influencing a high-performance HSW culture.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a HSW advisory/management role.
  • Viticulture, agriculture, winery or FMCG experience is preferred (but it’s not essential).
  • Relevant qualifications in HSW, or evidence of working towards this would be desirable.
  • Along with superior communication and interpersonal skills you’ll need to have proven abilities to manage challenging conversations and be very comfortable (and confident) making decisions and recommendations.

What can we offer you?

  • A fantastic industry with a professional, fun team who have strong work ethics.
  • A competitive salary, health insurance benefits, generous wine allowance, and long service leave.
  • Leadership development opportunities and flexible working options.
  • Company paid parental/partners leave, and
  • A day off (and a bottle of wine) on your birthday!

We’ll review your application if you’re eligible to work in Aotearoa and the successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening.

For more information, check out the position description below, and submit your details so we can prioritise your application. If we find the right candidate early, we may close the recruitment process before 11 April 2025, so if you want to work for a business that cares deeply for its people - apply today!
